These small weapons are wrought of an unknown black metal that is light, strong, and flexible. Each one has unique, exquisite finishing, featuring motifs of various venomous insects.
The bow itself has a streamlined profile that folds back for easy concealment, and features a release mechanism for quick deployment. They are designed to be used either in-hand, or mounted on the forearm by way of a specialized gauntlet. This allows the crossbow to be deployed as an Interaction and fired hands-free. Reloading requires a free hand.
