This variation on the legendary Elven mail is composed of an unidentified organic metal-like material harvested by the Dark Elves and crafted through magical means. The product is a shirt of extremely fine, lightweight scales that shimmer like black glass and make no sound.

The shadow-magics used to forge this armour is a Drow secret. Possibly by design, the materials begin to corrode and grow brittle when exposed to the full light of the sun. After an hour of exposure to daylight, the links will be at the point of crumbling, and are useless as armour.
