NPC ~ DONOVICH

A beleaguered coachman with a pragmatic outlook

Ht: 5'7 | Wt: 175 | Eyes: brown | Hair: black | Age:34

Donavich was born a serf on the estate of a country lord. Due to his affinity with the livestock, he was eventually promoted to the role of cart-driver, responsible for transporting crops to and from the local market at Tova Bridge.

A decade ago, when the Warlord of Volgorka seized the throne of Malocovia, raiders swept through these lands, and burned the estate to the ground while Donavich was at market. With two horses, a cart full of goods, and his freedom, he embarked on a new career as a freelance wagoneer.

Since then, Donavich has become an old hand at his trade. Due to some issues of personal hygiene, he never landed himself a wife, and his longtime gambling habit has made the prospect of staying in Tova Bridge less and less appealing. Luckily for him, he recently picked up a cushy position as a coachman for a traveling Malocovian officer of some means, giving him the opportunity to leave town and put some coin in his pocket, too.

Donavich is a dirty fellow with a thick, potato-shaped torso, and scrawny limbs. His clothes are stained with mud from the roads, and he wears an old tricorn over his lank, filthy black hair. He usually carries a lantern and a coachwhip, and keeps an old knife tucked into his belt. He smells rather poorly, even for a peasant.

His manners are rough and uncouth, but he tends not to speak up much, preferring instead to make morose observations under his breath. Still, all things considered, he exhibits a common-sense practicality that makes him good at his job, as well as a fatalistic indifference that allows him to take hardship in stride.
