Jerzy is a brawny, swaggering scoundrel who talks a bit too loudly, and a bit too much. It takes a particular combination of bravado, opportunism, and casual brutality to lead a bandit gang; Jerzy embodies these dubious qualities while also seemingly never taking himself too seriously.
Jerzy speaks in a coarse rambling voice. He can be gregarious and folksy, while also conveying a menacing unpredictability when he wants to. Despite his rough manner and bullying bluster, Jerzy is relatively easy-going and pragmatic for someone in his occupation. He'll employ threats and violence when it seems necessary, and he's usually up for a good brawl, but he takes no pleasure in cruelty or bloodshed for its own sake.
He has a keen nose for gold and is quick to seize opportunities as they present themselves, but he never lets arrogance or ambition come before survival. His schemes may not always pan out, but as long as he comes out alive, it's not all bad.
DESCRIPTION
Jerzy is a large, muscular thug with a rakish grin. His reddish hair is shaved on one side like a Dobrin horseman, and his beard is neatly trimmed. His ruddy complexion is interrupted by numerous scars about his head and broad hairy chest.
His garb is rugged but flamboyant, with a lurid, idiosyncratic style befitting a bandit chief. He also wears an assortment of gold and silver chains, and good luck charms from a motley of different religions. He favours an unusually broad sabre that is typically carried in its scabbard over one shoulder, but he is also adept with all forms of throwing weapons.
Despite his size, Jerzy moves with explosive speed and a natural agility. His seemingly lazy attitude belies the quick reflexes that have kept him alive this long.
